I know that I promised to finish the story from my father's journal, but this is just a quick blog for now...I hope you can wait...the story is a real spooker (if that's even a word)
Anyway - today is Thursday and on Sunday I leave to head to the Jamaica Inn for the filming of the pilot episode for the television series 'I Want To Believe'.
I have been trying to set it up so that I can broadcast live from the Inn on most of the nights - but I've been having some major problems with Blog TV and it looks like I won't be able to. I will attempt to do a quick capture on YouTube - see how that works out.
It's all very strange at the moment - if someone had said to me at the beginning of 2008 that in one year I would be going onto a paranormal reality show and meeting one of the greatest ghost hunters and paranormal investigators ever to have lived, Ted Thornby, I would have never believed them, but here I am, only a few days away. I am taking some of my equipment with me - camera for sure - because I just want to record everything, and with Wesley and Carl going to I'll have someone around to help out make a blog.
I've pretty much finished the book, just going through it and checking grammar and spelling and I'm going to take it with me as some of the participants were interested in reading it.
Anyway, I have a surprise for you all. Yesterday I went and registered a Limited Company. That company is the CSOP - The Cason School of the Paranormal.
The idea being that I will run functions in Towns throughout the UK - possibly a few in the US (depending on demand) teaching the techniques that were taught to me and my father through the years. I will sort out all the details of the classes when I get back - these will initially be free - but may begin to charge - not much - it just depends on how far we want to go with this.
Anyway - until I get back - don't go anywhere.
Love,
Miles.
A few days away....
A look Back
Its been hard even thinking about investigations lately, so much stuff to go through and sort. Ive been going through Dad's older journals, some from the early nineties. I found one investigation that struck me as very wierd.
He talks about getting a letter from a woman in Birmingham on the 17th October 1995, who explains that she feels that her husband is haunting her home, he had died three month previous of a heart attack, she was asking my father to some down and confirm that her home was indeed haunted and if possible, find out if it was her husband. My father called her and explained that he would be able to come to her and run a four day/three night investigation as long a room to rest in would be supplied (This was always part of the deal as he never took any form of payment, although he slept very little) She agreed and by the end of October my dad was in Birmingham. Here is an excerpt from his diary;
'It must have been the warmest winter in ages, but i was still freezing. I made my way to Ms Plummers place from the station and got there around noon. A kind and warm lady, aged around fortyish, she invited me in and showed me around her house. A two bedroom place not too far from the center, she was currently the only occupant, and you could tell from the tidyness of the place. Sheinvited me into the home and began with a brief tour, she showed me her bedroom where she said was the place where the majority of the Activity had taken place. I took a very quick couple of readings, but there was nothing un-natural about the room. We continued the tour until we came back to where we started. I told Ms Plummer that i would pretty much need free roam of the house, and with her permission, i would need to leave some equipment running overnight, such as recorders and a video camcorder hooked up in the hallway outside her room. She, of course agreed, and thus i began. I spent the first two days taking readings all over the house, inside and outside, at the time of taking the readings i never really bumped in Ms Plummer, she was out a lot. It wasn't until the third night that something would happen'
As common readers of this blog know - i love leaving you in a little suspense, and i wan't to try and get readers comming back - therefore i will continue the story next week.
If you don't already know, i am about 17 days or something away from leaving to be part of the Pilot episode for a TV Reality show called 'I Want To Believe'. We have not be told where we are filming yet, but have been told that we will know by Monday, so i will of course let you know.
