So who wants to be on TV?

Saturday, 8 November 2008 ·

Another week, another blog.

I was going to do just a quick blog about the new investigation i started this week, but not much has really happened, and i though that i would save it all up for next week.

Anyway, the book is going strong. Typed 174 pages thus far, and its really getting exciting. I even managed to scare myself the other day with some of the stuff that i was writing.

So earlier this week, a producer joined my facebook group and stuck a message on the wall saying:

We are looking for paranormal enthusiasts to be part of our new TV show. Head over to the Knuts and Bolts group to get details. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?sid=74ea7215ac5b6a3046668710acbe5e1a&refurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fs.php%3Fref%3Dsearch%26init%3Dq%26q%3Dknuts%2Band%2Bbolts%26sid%3D74ea7215ac5b6a3046668710acbe5e1a&gid=44609646479.

I headed over to the group, joined up, and emailed the producer;

jessica@knutsandbolts.com

It wasn't too long after i got this message back.

Hi Miles,

Thanks for the email, we checked out your blog and it seems like you're the kind of person we are looking for.

Here's some info on our project.

The main aim of our show is to run proper investigations in real places, with real history, staying in the place for at least three nights, aiming for four to five nights. The format of the shows investigations was developed by the highly experienced Ghost Hunter Ted Thornby, who will be in all episodes as our resident Ghost Hunter, together with medium Pieter Morgan, who himself has a long history of paranormal investigations and support to TV shows.

Our aim is to collect hard evidence to prove the existence of a paranormal entity or entities in the place we're investigating. We are working closely with the BBC, with people from the broadcaster overlooking our production to then pick it up for TV, depending on the success of filming the pilot.

We are a small company and the crew will be minimal too, which should help us create a good environment for all to work in.

The idea so far regarding the guests is to select a group of 8 enthusiasts for every two episodes, again, depending on how well the making of the pilot goes. With 12 planned episodes that would give this opportunity to at least 48 people. The number of guests is also an idea from Thornby, who believes with this amount of people we can run the investigations smoothly and give the audience different points of view coming from the guests.

I hope this information helps you and your friends decide to join us on this journey.

Let us know if you're gonna show up at the auditions on November 29th in Central London. If there are more people you know would be interested, just let us know their full name and email address.

We will be emailing everyone next week with details of the auditions.

So, if this sounds like something you would be interested in, i suggest you drop the company an email. Who knows, maybe some of us will finally get the chance to meet.

Until next week.....
