Sorry for not getting this up sooner, it's been a wild week.
So, where did we leave off......
CC: I don't know why, but I couldn't help but feel very, very sick at that moment. Later my father would say that it was the energy in the room, that every time he spoke with Satan, it made him feel sick too. He removed from his long coat what appeared to be a small bible, bound in black leather, he opened it to the first page and said something in Latin. At that age I had only begun to learn Latin, and the only words I made out were "Powerful being". I would later learn that my father was not contacting God for help, he was in fact speaking with the dark lord himself.
MC: Is this normal for an exorcism?
CC: It all depends on the demon that is the possessor, sometimes God is not the one to help.
MC: why wouldn't God be the one to help?
CC: My father never told me why, he just said that somethings are the way they are because that's the way they are.
MC: So what happened?
CC: Nothing. He spoke some words over her, later to be revealed to me, and the demon left her.
MC: No head spinning, projectile vomiting?
My father laughs.
CC: Unfortunately not, no. It was very peaceful almost. I think it was more to do with my father being prepared and knowing exactly what demon he was dealing with when he turned up.
MC: What happened to the girl?
My dad smiles, he knows what I am after.
CC: She was fine. We met up not long after, she came over to our place for dinner, continuously thanking my dad for what he did.
MC: and then?
CC: You know what then.
MC: I know, I know, I just want other people to know, my readers.
CC: And then we started courting, and I have never stopped loving your mother for a single day.
We take a break for a moment.
MC: Mum is a very religious person isn't she?
CC: indeed.
MC: Did that ever get in the way of what you wanted to do, as in, Ghost Investigations.
CC: She didn't like the idea, but every time I was going to leave the house, she would throw a blessing or two at me.
MC: So back to your dad, how many more Exorcisms did you see him do after that night?
CC: More than enough.
MC: And when did he begin teaching you more about them?
CC: I suppose it was a few years later. He had received word that his church was to be closed, due to him performing exorcisms outside of the church's knowing. He was to stop practicing as a minister and turn in his robes.
MC: Did he?
CC: Yes. He stopped immediately. He didn't want to put his family in any immediate danger. But he did continue exorcisms.
MC: When was your first?
My father asks me to stop. He explains that there are too many bad things that could come of this, none of which he wants to even imagine happening.
MC: You are known locally as someone who performs exorcisms?
CC: yes.
MC: How many have you actually performed in this area?
CC: A few, Four maybe.
MC: You once told me that it was the same demon, stalking the area.
CC: That's what I believe, yes.
MC: How long has it bee since you last faced a demon?
CC: Seven years.
My dad hears something, he asks me to stop as he fears we may had disturbed the spirit of the little girl who lives in my house - a story for another time - and that we should finish up.
MC: Dad, thanks for doing this.
CC: No problem, we can finish off another time, OK?
MC: Yes.
So that's it.
Thanks to everyone who has read, if you have any comments please let me know.

Interview with Mr Cason - Part Two
Interview with Mr Cason - Part One
Exorcisms are very popular, but not spoken about much in the paranormal community and having never seen a real exorcism, I thought I would talk to not only someone who had seen one, but had performed a few in his time. That man is my father Mr Colin Cason.
I initially filmed the interview, but after my father watched it back, he got a very bad vibe, as he usually does, about the footage and asked me politely not to show anybody else the interview. reluctantly I promised I wouldn't show anybody, but asked if I could type up the transcript for my blog, he said that I could but that he would be able to censor certain aspects such as some of the names. What follows is the transcript of that interview.
Interview date : 16/06/08
Miles Cason: OK?
Colin Cason: Fine.
MC: When was your first experience of an exorcism?
CC: It was the summer of 1962. my father, as you know, was the local minister and he had been called out late one night to the Fielding's place, they lived about a mile or two up the road. now this was nothing new, he had been called out a number of times before in the night, usually to sick or dying people, but i knew by the way he paced up and down the hall, that this was something different. I was sat in the kitchen reading a book, I forget now which book it was, and I asked him where he was going, he told me that he had something to do and that it was urgent. I asked him what was so urgent and he told me. Of course I was intrigued, and asked if I could come along and he said OK.
MC: He didn't object in the slightest?
CC: The only thing that he said, was for me not to tell my mother.
MC: A Phrase I am also familiar with.
My Father laughs.
CC: We arrived at the Fielding's around 2am in the morning. Now, my father was not a man of few words, but he was dead silent all the way there, I could tell that he had something on his mind. When we stopped outside the house, he looked at me and said, "Please, whatever you see or hear, don't run". It was one of those really scary moments, when you know that there is no turning back and what you are about to do, will change you forever.
We were greeted at the door by an obviously distressed Mr Fielding, a man with little colour left in his face. He pointed up upstairs without saying a word. we walked up what seemed to be a forever staircase, turning at the end to face a single door. The house was silent, not a single creek from a single step or floorboard, I could even hear myself breathing. maybe it was me, but the only thing I can remember, the only thing that really sticks in my mind, was the smell. The smell was indescribable, almost sterile like, the smell of a hospital, but worse, much much worse. When we got to the door, my father did a little blessing and lay down a line of Rock Salt.
MC: Has rock salt ever been proven to be a protection from demons and, or ghosts?
CC: The whole rock salt thing has been around for many years, and even though itss never been proven to do ANYTHING, it has seemed to protect many from attacks, and continues to do so.
MC: So you got to the door and then...
CC: We entered the room. A room not so big, but not too small. In the center of the room sit a four posted bed, a stick thin young woman lay on the bed and to her left sit her mother. At that time, little Mary Fielding must have been about my age. I knew her from around, but hadn't seen her for a while, I then knew why. The first thing my father did was bless the windows and the doorway, he ordered me to get rid of the giant mirror that sat against the wall, and also remove all the crucifix's that hung in the room, Mrs Fielding had hung them when her daughter fell ill. I took them downstairs where I found Mr Fielding almost in tears of fear. My father then circled the bed several times, every now and then dropping a tiny bit of salt on the floor. Mrs Fielding asked him why he removed the crucifix's from the room. What he told her would never leave me. "We won't be asking God for help today, he is not the one we need." Mrs Fielding was holding her daughters hand, almost squeezing it so hard and stopping the blood. My father removed he hand and told her to sit back. That's when he began.
Part two coming soon.
Haunted London and the Bank ghost.
Over the next few months, I will try to visit as many place as possible, and if I can, get photographs and videos of the encounters.
My first story is of the Bank Nun.
If you visit Bank station, and leave via the exit 3, you will come out near The Bank of England. This is the story.
On November 2nd 1811,
Philip Whitehead, ‘a man of genteel appearance’ who had been employed
in the Cashier’s Office at the Bank of England, was brought to the dock
of the Old Bailey, charged with forgery. Found guilty, he was sentenced
to death and was duly hanged in early 1812. News of his crime and
execution was, however, kept from his devoted sister, Sarah Whitehead,
who was removed by Philip’s friends to a house in Wine Office Court,
off Fleet Street. But one day, Sarah turned up at the Bank of England
to enquire of her brother’s whereabouts, and an unthinking clerk
promptly blurted out the story of Philip’s crime and ignominious death.
The shock of the discovery turned the poor woman’s mind and thereafter
she took to turning up at the Bank everyday asking after her brother in
the belief that he still worked there. She became known as the “Bank
Nun” on account of her peculiar attire that consisted of a long black
dress and a black crepe veil worn over her face and head. The city
merchants took pity on her and never let her pass “without extending
their assistance,” whilst the Directors and clerks of the Bank of
England saw to it that she was frequently provided with “sums of money
in compliment of her misfortune.”
fortune from her and this led to her frequently hurling insults at them during
business hours. On one occasion Baron Rothschild was going about his
business at the Stock Exchange when she suddenly appeared and called
him a “villain and a robber” telling him that he had defrauded her of her fortune
and demanding the £2,000 he owed her. He responded by taking half a crown
from his waistcoat pocket, handing it to her and telling her as he did
so “There, then, take that and don’t bother me now; I’ll give you the
other half tomorrow.” Accepting the money, she thanked him and went
away.
and so gave her a sum of money on condition she agreed never to
return to the bank again. In life she kept that contract, but in death her
wraith has broken it many times. More than one late night wanderer,
wending their weary way home along Threadneedle Street has been
surprised by her ghostly figure appearing before them and, with
downcast eyes enquiring sadly, though politely,
“have you seen my brother?”
I have been here many a time, both on my own and with my parents. We did record some EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) but none of it substantial enough to back up the story. I'm considering returning to Bank sometime soon to try and record or photograph anything new. All of my findings will be posted here.
Keep an eye on the blog.
